Unless one is like young Marie Antoinette living in La La Land or an ostrich with head in the sand, one would have been aware of the negative impacts of globalisation. Cut through the propaganda dosage and engineered patriotism. Government and big business make good bed-partners. To most of the disadvantaged in society, there’s no such thing as a ‘Good’ government. With a two-party system, one can at the very least hope for a ‘Fair’ government.

"It is the old practice of despots to use a part of the people to keep the rest in order; and those who have once got an ascendancy and possessed themselves of all the resources of the nation, their revenues and offices, have immense means for retaining their advantages." - 1798: Thomas Jefferson on Politics & Government.

Pictures taken on 06 May 2007:

"A federal Labor backbencher says people will be prepared to go to prison as they fight against the Federal Government's proposed industrial relations changes." - 2005: IR anger will fuel civil disobedience: Labor.

"The poll, which shows no two-party change and Labor in a landslide-winning position, found that despite the Government's new "fairness test" and the business campaign against Labor's policy, 59 per cent said Labor would run IR better." - 2007: IR anger keeps Rudd on top.
