Work has consumed a big part of my life. When you get into a role that requires: (1) twelve hours a day, (2) travelling every Friday-Sunday night and (3) doing the Chartered Accountants Program, work-life balance becomes just another slogan. There’s always stuff that you do not like about your role. I do not believe that it is essential to love my role in its entirety. I'm fine with it as long as the role lends me the opportunity to pursue: (1) the career path I want and allows me to (2) meet decent people in (3) a brand-name organisation with a CV I do not have to pad. What’s essential though, is that what I do provides me with the financial ability to get what I want in life. C'est la Vie.
